Michael DeShazo Becomes Partner

Kinney Ellinghausen is pleased to announce Michael DeShazo as a new partner at the law firm. DeShazo joined the firm as an associate in 2005, and since that time he has become an experienced litigator, focusing on antitrust, construction law, employment discrimination, historic preservation law, public bidding and procurement, and general commercial litigation.

“We are thrilled to make this announcement. Michael has been an integral part of the firm’s success since joining us as an associate six years ago,” said Henry Kinney, founding partner of Kinney Ellinghausen.

In addition to his trial practice, DeShazo has extensive appellate experience, having handled numerous matters before Louisiana’s appellate courts, including the United States Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit.

DeShazo publishes regularly, and he has served on the Editorial Board of the Louisiana Bar Journal. He is also a member of the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit.

DeShazo received his law degree in 2005 from Louisiana State University, after serving on the Board of Editors of the Louisiana Law Review.
